About Grill 66

The moment diners step inside, an unpretentious ambiance sets the tone, where rustic wood accents meet subtle lighting, creating a backdrop that complements but never overshadows the culinary focus. At this point, one might start exploring the Grill 66 menu, intrigued by its balanced selection that leans toward hearty, grilled fare without ignoring lighter options. Plates arrive generously portioned, sometimes inviting a shared approach rather than solo indulgence, with a few dishes suggesting more nuanced seasoning could elevate them further. This interplay between ambiance and food quality makes the experience engaging, though not without occasional inconsistencies noted in the preparation.

Photographs shared across various platforms reveal that Grill 66 restaurant prioritizes a presentation style rooted in simplicity and warmth rather than elaborate plating. This visual honesty matches the dining experience, where the service maintains a steady rhythm—attentive yet unobtrusive—as staff navigate the subtle demands of the room. Occasional wait times reflect a busy environment more than inefficiency, hinting at the local popularity reported in many Grill 66 reviews. Pricing sits comfortably in the moderate range, offering value that reflects portion size and ingredient quality, even if a handful of options feel less distinctive than others.

Beyond the immediate environment, the impact of the culinary choices lingers after the meal, inviting reflection on how this restaurant integrates with its Icelandic surroundings without relying heavily on local clichés in the menu or decor. Dishes inspired by traditional grilled techniques subtly nod to broader regional flavors while avoiding overt thematic confines. Patrons searching for authentic experiences through detailed menu insights or candid grill-focused critiques will find ample discussion in digital reviews, which often highlight the approachable and steady nature of Grill 66. Though not without minor shortcomings, the overall impression is of a dependable dining spot with enough character to satisfy curiosity and familiarity alike.

Service station food has never been better. A fresh cooked burger from Grill 66 will save you from Icelandic hunger delirium in a major way. 500ml drink included? I could almost forget I could buy three McDonald’s meals for this price.

Highlight recommended for a car-stopover. We had 2 very good burgers medium-well done, good fries and the staff was very friendly!

Yes, as you drive up to the location, you realize it's basically in a gas station...don't let that deter you. We had the Madison, Bernalillo and Santa Rosa, all were absolutely delicious! All sandwiches come with fries and a drink, not a bad combo deal.

Really good sandwiches, with a perfect amount of greens, meat, cheese, and sauce mixed together. Very nice people working there too, and the smoothies are delicious. The bread is a little bit salty, but its warm and perfectly fluffy. The number 1 spicy chicken sandwich is for sure my recommendation, absolutely loved the sauce.

After our whale watching tour it was recommended to eat directly at the harbor, while it looked nice, it is very touristy there (besides all the tourists from the boats followed the advice and the places where overcrowded). We looked for something more chill and asked where the locals go for a quick lunch. Grill 66 way recommended and it was really good. Service and food was good. Fries amazing and they have fresh fruit smoothies as well. Fair price and american diner vibe.

Fish and chips were surprising very good. Two big pieces of fish with tons of fries included. One small coleslaw included two. Definitely recommend. Very quick service too!
